NAUgrad
He needs to sit the rest of training camp to let this thing completely heal!
Footballjoe
It will probably linger all season, just my guess

bushwacked
I have Smith in my keeper league. Cross your fingers that this is not a serious injury!! Don't have the super smurf in any leagues and I am a Hugh Seahawk fan. This guy was pretty special last year and I hope he is okay soon. Well all know hamstrings pulls are a potentially devasting injury that can linger and easily result in a re-injury. The way he came back last season, he laid to rest a lot of injury concerns. Hopefully with a little rest he is better soon.
Goopster24
Ya gotta love training camp.... So many hamstring injuries every year. Don't these guys learn to take their time stretching?
irish
He means so much not only to Fantasy squads but to the Panthers as well. If he goes down and is not 100% this season the Panthers could be in trouble. Even more reason to like the Cowboys this year. Now we just have to take out the Hawks. Lets go regular season. Seahawks21
Tweaking a hammy is one thing. Having to be carried to a cart is something different entirely. This could be pretty good news.
PSULions
Smith It appears to NOT be too serious and I am sure the Panthers will be cautious with him. No reason to panic at this point. All-pro receiver Steve Smith could be out for a while after hurting his left leg Saturday afternoon in the Carolina Panthers' second training camp practice. General manager Marty Hurney said the early prognosis was that Smith might have strained his hamstring, but that the injury shouldn't be serious. Smith was running a deep pass pattern when he pulled up, grabbed his left hamstring and fell. Fellow receiver Keyshawn Johnson watched as the team's medical staff treated Smith, who was taken to the locker room on a cart. Smith missed the final week of the Panthers' coaching session practices in June with a tweaked hamstring. piratesownninjas
Its not serious now, but this is an injury that could reinjure easily. I like him, but im glad I dont have him right about now in my dynasty league.
The Vatican Hitsquad
This looks like just the sort of news that will have me hoping another owner grabs him early in the draft. That will take the pressure off me, I do not want this looming over my season.
Randall
Put Smith on the shelf for a while and give Drew Carter his reps. They don't need Steve to re-injure the hammy.

Randall
He hurt it earlier too- From ESPN SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Carolina Panthers receiver Steve Smith missed practice Sunday, a day after he strained his left hamstring while running a route at training camp. Coach John Fox said Smith, who missed the final week of coaching sessions in June with tightness in the same hamstring, is listed as day-to-day. "He was nursing it at the end of summer school, so we have to put him on the shelf, work the rehab, and we'll get him out here when he's healthy," Fox said. "We'll take it as slow as we need to."
