Since when was Brian Finneran so important?

I certainly don't like to hear about anyone getting injured and feel bad for Finneran as it looks like his season is lost. This article from Peter King, however, makes it sound like the end of the world for the Falcons offense...

Maybe I'm too fantasy focused, but I'm just amazed to hear about Mike Vick on the verge of tears for a guy who's never caught 60 passes in a season. ATL homers - was he that reliable/important? Sounds like he's a great, hard-working guy, which may be why everyone's so upset, but how big a deal is this?

as an Atl fan, it's a pretty bad loss.

just like Vick said in the article, Finneran would catch everything. he's a huge target with sure hands.

he's also been there since Vick arrived.

From a fantasy perspective, he never belonged on a roster obviously but he was 2nd on the team in receptions and receptions for 1st downs. he always seemed to haul one in for a first down at a very critical point in a game. Pretty obscure but someone will have to pickup that slack to keep moving the chains.

Just another excuse for Vick to suck. "What do you guys expect of me....I lost my best receiver?" What a shame...now his YPG will drop to under 75....but then again all he does is win :D

Bad for Vick and his horrible passing numbers. If this guy could only throw for 3,000 yards a season, he would be a stud with his rushing totals. Maybe this will develop R. White and M. Jenkins more as they should get more looks.

yeah, I think he only needs a few more years in the league to start putting up great passing numbers...

Anytime you lose someone like Finneran it's a depth thing, but Jenkins and White are as capable as the white guy.
