FishFreak Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 With Surtain and Law at the corners, isn't it time to bump up the KC D a bit? Their secondary should be much improved. Their run defense is average but I'm not sure about their pass rush. Are these guys capable of getting 40+ sacks? Hat Trick Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 I refuse to tout the Chiefs Defense eventhough I am excited about it. They were the laughing stock of the NFL for one season cause they couldn't stop anyone whether rush or pass, then they were much improved at stopping the run so teams threw on them cause they could. I think a lot of the defenses downfall came from Vermeils approach to score score score and not control the ball a lot more, sure you want to score, but not in 3 minutes then throw a defense back on the field who just got worked for a 80 yard drive. Herm is going to slow things down, which could be good, could be bad, but the defense will be better. The pass rush is going to be pretty darn good, with Law and surtain back there they are going to be sending the LB's after the QB this year, not to mention they have 3 good ends in Hali, Allen and Hicks.
