rajncajn Posted August 4, 2006 Share Posted August 4, 2006 When McCarthey was first hired a few months ago, I was absolutley livid, as I wanted Jim Bates to get the job. Upon further review, I still think Bates was the guy... In MM Defense, he did take one of the worst offenses in the league and raise it to mediocre... I guess thats a good thing... Remember, that's the offense everyone was calling "highly talented" the past few years. So you could also say he took a "highly talented" offense & made them mediocre. Seeing Brooks go from mediocre with him to terrible without him gives me some hope. He wasnt my 1st choice, actually, he wasnt really on my radar, but I'm going the optimistic route.
