Avernus
Ravens | Billick will use all three running backsWed, 2 Aug 2006 05:39:26 -0700 Gary Mihoces, of USA Today, reports Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick has named RB Jamal Lewis the starter with RB Mike Anderson as the backup. However, that does not mean that Lewis will earn the majority of carries as Billick intends for Lewis, Anderson and RB Musa Smith to all be involved in the offense. Billick said, "I don't isolate starters, non-starters. It's about whoever is playing well. I don't have a distinct - Jamal is going to carry this many times. Mike and Musa (fourth-year man Musa Smith), they're all going to play. And I guess I've got to put someone out to start the game, and I guess that's technically the starter." I am only targetting McNair, Mason or Heap in this offense..
peepinmofo
I am only targetting McNair, Mason or Heap in this offense.. I wouldnt be the least bit surprised if Jamal plays like he did last year (crappy), and then Anderson comes in and runs well, gaining the starting job. Problem is, Billick is all over Jamals jock, and for some reason thinks he is still a 2000 yard back, so he will have a hard time benching him. I've said this at least 6 times within the past 3 months....and I will say it again...lol.. after that 2000 yd season...I stayed away from him....and warned everyone like a crazy global warming scientist to stay away... but this year...I think he'll let it all hang out... the fact that he didn't get the money he thought he would in FA and he went back to the Ravens with a 1 yr deal shows me he wants to prove himself.... he WAS worth a #3 RB to me until I read this....I'll now accept him as a #4.....but I usually let me #4 be someone like DeAngelo, CPerry, Houston, Turner, White, BPerry/Moats or (insert Denver RB)
