Does anybody use CBS Sportsline.com

I used CBS Sportsline in 4 of my on-line leagues last year. I really liked it better than Myfantasyleague.com, which is what my local league uses. The only reason that I haven't changed my local is cuz we have used the latter for 4 years and have a lot of league history ie; year by year standings, player stats, drafts and scoring records. They are both adequet but CBS Sportsline seems to have better live scoring and update features during game days.

I like CBS..You definetly can have a flex..I just signed up the main local im commish of again. It was about 125 dollars. You get an occasional sunday when updates get stuck but I think thats not too uncommon no matter what site you use. CBS updates arent neccesarily the greatest but I come here to the main page or priority news and the boards for that type of stuff..

For My money you can't beat MFL. I used CBS the last time a few years back as a Commish and have played in some leagues that use it since.

It is very pretty and offers a lot of links and news and fancy graphics and pictures and, well, it is a lot more... pretty, but in MHO it is a good service for lazy GMs that don't want to look for the info they need. It takes out a good part of the managing a team when you give everyone the same info and lots of it. You might just as well set up 12 teams and play with yourself. :D I mean... well, forget that! :D

In the MFL league I run, I greatly limit the ammount of news and links available, basically allowing only NFL.com and Fantasy Sharks, which is in a way integrated to MFL (which is not really a good thing in my book). This way the diligent owner that finds his own reliable sources, links, or web sites, such as The Huddle, has an advantage over the goofball that manages his/her team based on what the local rag and a five month out of date magazine says.

MFL seems to be practically limitless in its possibilities of setting up leagues and accomodating almost any set of rules and scoring you can imagine. They have SUPERIOR customer support and use the feedback and requests from their clients to incorporate and improve the service every year.

There are some people who are so addicted to the computer screen on gameday that they lose site of the fact that REAL football is going on and NEED that 10 second update like a junkie on horse. I have learned to get by with extremely reliable updates every 30 to 60 seconds :D . I have gotten BACK to the point in FF, finally, that the REAL games are more important than the FF games I am in.

Take everything that MFL offers at a little over half the price of the others, and there is NO comparison, especially if you are THE commissioner of a league.

:D

What do you guys think compared to other sites. Also can you have a flex player position???

Not a fan of CBS Sportsline at all. Hate the way the free agent pool is set-up. There are MUCH better sites for half the money!! Try Myfantasyleague.com and Fanball.com :D - You won't be disappointed.

Each league I'm in uses CBS...I agree it's probably due to league history and everyone's comfort level with the format. I am, however, looking to participate in MFL this season to see how well it works and if I should recommend it in my other leagues. I've got a buddy who received a free pass to run a league at EA Sports this year. Has anyone used them?

But I like going to the draft and seeing someone pull out the CBS Sportsline rankings. It makes me feel good about the league. :D

But more and more guys keep showing up with The Huddle sheets so I think they are catching on. :D

The only thing I don't like about CBS is we play defenses and by the end of the day you don't know if you won or lost when you play defenses. The online update for defenses does not take in account some statistics for scoring. There have been two time I went to sleep thinking I won and only to find out I lost when I woke up. It happened the other way once. So I now know never trust the defensive scoring and usually calculate the defensive points by hand.

As Commish on CBSSportsline, you have several optiopns for choosing flex players. They are:

Flex Positions: We do not use Flex positions/ We do use Flex positions

We use the flex position Running Back/Wide Receiver (RB-WR)

We use the flex position Wide Receiver/Tight End (WR-TE)

We use the flex position Running Back/Wide Receiver/Tight End (RB-WR-TE)

We use the flex position QB/RB/WR/TE (FLEX)

We use the flex position DL/LB/DB

I've been pleased with CBS, using it for 5 seasons and we've always used a flex. Hope that helps.....

Why would anyone pay twice as much for CBS when they could have as good or better of a product (with a hell of a lot better customer support) at myfantasyleague.com or RTSsports? Unless you consider the comedy that CBS calls FF advice worth the extra $70 a year...

Are you looking at a pay league at CBS or a free league? I think in the free leagues you have ot by their settings so you wouldn't be able to use a flex.

I thought that MFL was getting on the right track with live scoring last year. You had ot download it and it was a work in progress but I will ise it again this year. I'm in several MFL served leagues this year and I believe you can view all your games and leagues within a click of the button.

I have totally jumped on the MFL wagon this year. They offer discounts as well if your moving your league.

In my opinion Cbs is way overpriced. Enjoy the set up and live scoring but compared to what I have seen now in MFL so far it doesn't compare. MFL offers just about anything you need to run a league at a way better price, CBS for their price, is very limited in what you can do. Some one asked about EA leagues, I wouldn't recommend that site, I played in 2 leagues their last season and it felt like I was playing a game of fantasy madden or something. Not to mention for winning the league you get a free EA game and of course they gave me a choice of the worst games out there. I just got my money back from Cbs commish, MFL FOR LIFER NOW!

Used CBS for 2 years now for baseball and football. Might be a bit pricey, but you get discounts for multiple teams and there's always a promo code in most magazines that carry their add for 10% off.

I have no reason to change. Satisfied customer.

The way I guage it. The more pricey the league, the more features you're gonna want. As well as the ease of use for a site.

Big money leagues should be on CBS. It's far superior for the multiple reasons listed above.

However! For all my dynasty leagues that I participate in, that are at a lower cost, I love MFL. It's fairly simple, decent looking. Great bang for the buck as they say!

basically...every owner pictches in 10 bucks to get sportsline and we run it through there...

it is very user friendly and I have a couple computer illiterate members....so this is easy for them...

there is pretty much nothing you can't do on sportsline...
