neilfish2
Keeper performance league, 3 players at different positions. I'm almost forced to keep Branch. Here are my other Rcv.ers: D. Branch T. Glenn B. Lloyd A. Randle El T. Williamson As you can see I did not do well last yr. I can only keep one. I want to keep Branch. Just wondering if anyone has any info on Branch? I know that Brady has spoken up, and NE needs him, is he close.

I'm not asking which rcv'er to keep, I'm asking for info on Branch. I was hoping that someone that follows the Patriots close would know something. msaint
Branch is garbage Hines Ward>Branch Nice contribution, fella. Horray for knowledgable Steeler homers! Posts like this drive me batty. Did he ask if Branch was better than Ward? Was Hines Ward a part of this discussion at all? No. So keep your useless blanket statements like "Branch is garbage" to yourself. p.s. There's been no word on Branch's status having changed as of today. Edited August 8, 2006 by msaint
AtomicCEO
Holdouts like this make me scratch my head. Branch can't possibly get what he wants, but at this point, how does he or the team get out of this without looking like they caved? I hope Branch smartens up, but I have my doubts it will ever happen. If he doesn't come back, look for Chad Jackson to learn some fast lessons in the NFL. broncosn05
Branch is garbage Hines Ward>Branch Hines Ward of course! Deion will sign eventually and turn in another solid season even with the acquisitions of Reche Caldwell and Chad Jackson. Really Branch is the only big returning name with Givens gone and he should get paid. Branch should turn in a better season than Ward, but why I'm talking about him... I don't know. Bill Swerski
In my mind who cares. Branch's absence opens the door for some other players to possibly step up. Branch's upside was very minimal prior to his holdout anyhow IMO. Outside of the injuries, Branch is a pretty good player. He's not Randy Moss, but still a heck of a deep threat. I truly agree, the dude need to get his (_Y_) in camp and play some football. Prove your worth. Sometimes agents can be so dumb.

Sometimes agents can be so dumb. i can certainly see his side of things -- he sees inferior, basically unproven receivers (randle el, givens to name two) cashing in bigtime while he (a #1 guy on last year's top passing offense, a super bowl MVP) toils for relative peanuts thanks to taking a little more $ up fropnt on his original contract. i'd want my deal re-structured, too. he's outperformed his contract, period, and i think the pats should show a little gratitude, personally. I think it's unlikely that there will be anymovement on the part of the organization until after Branch has reported to camp. hey will not be seen as giving in to a holdout. He should get in camp and consider his message sent, because otherwise he might end up sitting out. And I am not saying I don't understand why he is holding out. Branch might have made a lot more money as a rookie if he had not been hurt in college, so he must be weighing his risk factor now.
