joethin Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 Eagles RB Westbrook Wearing Boot Cast After InjuryScott Bomboy 8/8/2006 NBC 10 caught a glimpse of injured Eagles' running back Brian Westbrook at training camp on Tuesday, wearing a protective boot. The Eagles confirmed Westbrook has a foot injury and will miss at least the Cleveland Browns pre-season game. In a brief note, the Eagles Web site reported that Westbrook has a "foot sprain" and it is not a Lis Franc injury. Coach Andy Reid said Westbrook would definitely not play Thursday night. But there was no official mention of the boot, which is used to immobilize an injury. The boot or inflatable cast could be a big deal. Or the Eagles could be extra cautious. But the site of Westbrook wearing a boot has to scare Eagles fans. Last season, Westbrook missed the final four games of the regular season after suffering a Lis Franc sprain in his right foot.
