Avernus
Maroney and McNair are the only one's that I am putting any stock into... Â the rest make me say... Â "well, it's pre-season"
gogo2146
I have Dillon in a keeper league and was gonna pass on him in the 1st and 2nd round now I'm gonna try to draft him in round one ASAP ! He looks good !
General Itals
Laurance Maroney is very much impressing me. Very. Â I've been very negative about him on this board, but he's gotten his yards tonight which is a very positive sign for him and his future. Â However, he's done it exactly how I said he could do it. He's outraced defenders to the edges of the defense. It seems to me that Atlanta has alot of starters in there, so either they are slow (which I don't think guys like Brookings, etc. are) or they just aren't prepared for the attack which Maroney can bring. Â He's been absolutely stuffed when trying to run up the middle. I don't think he's shown much in the way of blocking or catching the football. I still say that Maroney is one dimensional, and that will hurt him badly once teams get some film on this kid and start game-planning him. I still personally think that he will disappoint. broncosn05
Laurance Maroney is very much impressing me. Very. Â Watched one of his games and liked him a lot. Then watched the NFL Network rookie symposium and discovered he might be one of the stupidest people in the world. No verbal skills. This just helps me get back to my previous conclusion that he is very good.
trrhyne
Corey Dillion looks very slow compared to Maroney.
tonorator
overall the NE running game looks good and brady, at this point, does not have many targets to choose from. this is making the dillon/maroney handcuff a nice option ...

General Itals
that's a great quote.. Â Â Â :RandyCross: Laurance Maroney is very much impressing me. Very. :RandyCross: Â Not Dick Enberg right? Â I was watching with the sound turned down. I was wondering about that, though. I didn't think that DMD was that stoopid, despite the fact he is from Texas. (Please don't ban me!) DMD
I remember when Fargas was tearing it up in the pre-season   That is certainly true though he did most his work in the second half against scrubs. Maroney was actually going against mostly first teamers in the first half.

Big Score 1
He's been absolutely stuffed when trying to run up the middle. From the play by play; 3-18-ATL42 (5:10) L.Maroney up the middle to ATL 15 for 27 yards. www.nfl.com - gamecenter - playbyplay NE @ Atl  Yup. A 27 yarder up the middle...is getting stuffed
Chavez
Obviously General Itals meant ASIDE from that 27 yd burst, he was getting stuffed. Â

A 27 yarder up the middle...is getting stuffed   It looked to me like he ran wherever the opening was. I didn't see him a lot at college(as Itals probably did) but he seems have the power to run inside too. People can change.  1-10-NE20 (:36) L.Maroney up the middle to NE 28 for 8 yards (J.Williams).  He got stuffed after this 8 yard gain too.
