Injuries never let him show what he could do though. Tore up his knee twice in College. This off season he had both shoulders operated on. I think you can lump 10 more RBs into the top 10 if they only stayed healthy or played in a good offense. Especially since a good offense is mostly dictated by the quality of the running game. Especially since a good offense is mostly dictated by the quality of the running game. Well you need just a little more than just those two things Vatican. To begin with, it certainly helps if you're a talented RB, which Frank Gore is. Then you might want to get some decent blocking going on. Look at Portis and his ypc in Denver and then his ypc first year in Washington. It's good to have a QB, who if maybe not spectacular, at least does not turn the ball over a ton. This helps to keep the offense on the field. Receivers tend to play a role too. They help to keep 8 out of the box, dontcha know. A D that can actually stop the other teams offense is a good thing too. This also helps the offense keep the ball.
