Avernus
since when does he make plays?.... pre-season or regular season...
irish
He's been very productive for them. Especially when Boldin was hurt.
broncosn05
I don't expect him to go over what he has done before though... Edited August 12, 2006 by broncosn05
Chavez
Johnson's problem is a lack of opportunity - the Cards were fun to watch last year, so I tuned in to several of their games; he's obviously not on the same level as Boldin and Fitz but IMO could be a solid starter for any number of teams. But there are only so many balls to go around, and Green's offense has not generally had super-productive #3 WRs (best IIRC was Reed in Moss' rookie year with about 40-600). Be nice to have on your roster if Boldin or Fitz go down, though.
CaptainHook
his TD against Pitt was a heck of a grab. Ball was way behind him.
Doc Holliday
I think Bryant Johnson is the best # 3 WR in the league.
CaptainHook
Anybody remember that post last year about who had the best WR's? I think the choices were Colts, Cardinals, and LIONS . . . Savage Beatings
He was drafted ahead of Boldin by the Cardinals. He just didn't have the immediate impact that Boldin was able to have in his rookie season.
Avernus
with Boldin's knee having the history it does...Johnson may be one of the few handcuff WR's in the league along with Curtis of the Rams because of Isaac Bruce being gerital... Bronco Billy
He looked awfully good. He's also a very difficult matchup for D teams, since their top cover guys are committed to Fitz & Boldin. Even if Johnson is in on 1/3rd of the O plays, he could make enough of an impact to be worth considering as a FF #3/#4 WR, with tremendous upside if one of the top 2 in AZ were to sit out for any significant time. Kind of like what Az-Hakim was like for a couple of years with the Rams.
Kid Cid
Don't forget on any other team this would be his breakout year. If Boldin goes down he could be hugh.
Youre Going Down
Don't forget on any other team this would be his breakout year. If Boldin goes down he could be hugh. I think he could be huge IF Boldin or Fitz don't get hurt. He needs to stay the 3rd wideout with single coverage. He could have a year like Stokley did a couple years back.
