Ok, given the Seahawks played their Jr. Squad as most all their starters were lame or MIA. None the less, Romo played very solid. Great touch to the outside and much calmer in the pocket then previous years where he looked like a ho in church when dropping back to pass. Crayton and Hurd looked solid and made some great grabs. O line played pretty solid as they gave up zero sacks, however the running game didn't get going much. Don't know how much to make of that with Seattle’s starting D line and backers out but the second team line did a solid job on Seattle's pass rushers that were in there. Generally, in preseason there are breakdowns on the line here and there that will result in a sack or two but ZERO, that’s saying something about our inexperienced guys. The announcers were saying the last QB to play an entire preseason game was Conley back in the 80's. I guess when Bill says he wants to see a player he means it. Defensively, the first thing that jumps out is the 6 sacks and 2 from Glymph forcing two fumbles. I like what I'm seeing from the D. Lot's of depth means fresh freight trains rotating in to plow Quarterbacks and chase down runners. All in all, I am very pleased with what I saw and more so of what I didn't see. T. From my perspective, the Seahawks looked flat. The offensive line was not good at all, the defense couldn't keep the Cowboys off the field (though more or less kept them out of the end zone). With the number of starters ON BOTH TEAMS not playing (2 offense and 4 defense were all that was out for Seattle), this amounted to a glorified scrimmage. However a win is a win, and Romo looked like a solid ball control type QB that was capable of making plays on more than one occasion. Parcells did that guy a huge disseservice by starting him on Thanksgiving day against the bears a few years back, then pulling him at the half, only to demote him to no.3 and never give him a chance. It does suck because you want to see more playing time for the starters but this is very typical for the first pre-season game. Look for game 3 of the preseason to be the most exciting. I believe that is the game where starters play for almost all of the first half. But as we know, we won't get the full spectrum for how a team will really play until the first actual season game. Parcells said MRI results on Crayton's injury were "not quite as bad as we first thought," though he expects Crayton to miss at least a week. The Cowboys' projected third receiver had four catches for 61 yards and a touchdown against Seattle but left the game after getting his ankle rolled by another player, and has been relegated to a walking boot and crutches. "I don't think he'll do much for a week and I think next Monday we'll probably know a lot more as the duration," said Parcells, who also didn't know if Terrell Owens (sore hamstring) would return to practice Monday. "But I'm thinking more time than that for sure." Parcells said 24-year-old safety Justin Beriault will retire because of ongoing problems with his right knee. The Cowboys' sixth-round pick in 2005 spent all of last season on injured reserve following risky dual surgery to repair torn medial and lateral meniscus in his right knee.
