ROYALWITCHEESE
Good Lord. In other words, he can't speak English. I did glean that he knew nothing about Portis' condition even with being such a good friend... . Well they reported that Gibbs doesn't let injured players talk. Maybe that's to keep whatever injury that may or may not have happened unknown (aka Bill Bel). I think Santana was just playing along, and trying not to be an geezer about it... jgcoach
All I was thinking during the interview was, how could I actually draft such an idiot. I know there aren't many that have a command of the english language but, geeeeeeeez.
Bengal Mania
Did he say somewhere in there that Portis was gonna "keep it real?" I think that's important.
oraphus
if football players got paid based on their brains.. the sallary cap would be firmly set at 60k a year for the team. Lucky for them, they are not .. here is to 10+ TD for Santana.. you go boy!

Big Score 1
I haven't seen the interview. Was his English really that bad? Or is there a tad bit of exaggeration going on here? Honestly curious.

Lucky for them, they are not .. here is to 10+ TD for Santana.. you go boy! Well techincally they don't get paid for their brains your right. But when they enter the league, and are subjected to the Wonderlic Test, it can affect their draft positions, and therefore affect how much a brutha gets paid! Last I heard though, most NFL playbooks aren't the easiest of reads either...
The Wolf
Last I heard though, most NFL playbooks aren't the easiest of reads either... Glad you wrote that as I was thinking the same thing. I'd bet that there are MIT doctorate candidates who couldn't learn a Mike Martz playbook...
Swiss Cheezhead
Leave Santana alone. He's one of the good guys -- hard worker, team player, not a prima donna. Give him a break.
