Hat Trick
Wali Lundy, let's discuss him......... I watched him play against my Chiefs sorry defense on Saturday, and I must admit he impressed me enough to draft him very late in a recent draft. The kid showed good vision, good first step and lowered his shoulder to try and put a hit on someone. Now I know he's listed 3rd on the depth chart, but A smith is done, that guy looks slower that my grandma with two borken hips in a wheel chair. Is the writing on the wall? I think Dom is going to struggle to get back on the field and even if he does, he seems likely to get hurt rather quickly again. Anyone for a sleeper? discuss............ I think he's worth your first pick in Outraged starting tomorrow....good luck with it.
theeohiostate
Where does Morency fit in? I was more impressed with the holes the line were able to open. Kubiac may be a genius! I don't know who will start , but a healthy DD under Kubiac's system may be HUGE! As for Lundi, don't know of him, never heard of him before the preseason game, but given the new system, be could be another Mike Anderson or Droughns Edited August 15, 2006 by theeohiostate
Jumpin Johnies
Footballgheys is pimping him as a sleeper. I picked him late in 32 Homarrrrs and I was hoping that no one would start a thread like this to bring attention to him so I could nab him in my other BoTH leagues. General Itals
I like Lundy alot but think he may be a little to deep to help you in 12 Men. The word I heard from Houston a month ago was that Morency was on the outs with the coaching staff, but I haven't heard anything lately to confirm that. Return Of S&B
Lundy is a solid back...saw him play for Virginia a couple games. He had great sophmore and junior years (1200yds/14tds 1010yds/17tds) before the offense switched to a spread format that required a totally different back. I already drafted him in one of my dynasty leagues and may pick him up very late in another draft....right now he is relatively unknown so he's cheap, but he has a lot more upside than Antwain Smith and fits Kubiaks system much better than Morency does. If Antwain struggles at all, Wali Lundy should easily move up to the second spot and be another inevitable DD injury away from starting.
