muck
Well, Travis Taylor, a career underachiever is the #1 ... or is Troy Williamson, a 2nd year player with some pretty mixed reviews ... or Marcus Robinson, he of the half a dozen HUGE games over a five year span with not much in between ... Which one is the guy who sees the passes? Why?
Savage Beatings
Not sure who will be named the #1. Williamson looks good in camp and will certainly produce this year, but I don't see him as taking the #1 spot. It'll probably end up being Travis Taylor or Marcus Robinson unless the Vikes trade for someone else. Even with all of the question marks now, I would say that this news probably bumps up Jermaine Wiggins in the TE rankings quite a bit. brainded
Judging by the drop against the Raida's, Marcus has got some work to do. I know that it was tipped but he still should have caught it. Otherwise I am waiting to see who gets #1. With the protection that Brad had Monday(remember it was the Raiders) the passing game should be in good shape. CD6405
I had Troy Williamson and KoRo on my bench .Well last week I made a trade where I sent Koren Robinson and Mike Anderson over for Frank Gore, and I held on to Troy Williamson instead of trying to trade him. I'm really glad I made the deal now.
Genetic Jackhammer
Troy Williamson has the potential...but with Brad Johnson at the helm I can't see this being a huge year for him.

CaptainHook
Please Wilf get Lelie. Seriously, why would you want that underachiever? I'd rather go with what you've got than give up something for Lelie.

GJ speaks the truth here. I believe Williamson is going to be a year away, the type of player that will be too inconsistent to be anything more than a fill in on your FF roster this year. The clear choice is Taylor IMO, and Robinson will have that one "3 TD" game again to make people waste a waiver on him. I don't think anyone is draftable except Taylor and a very safe later round pick on Williamson once your roster is filled out.
muck
I don't have any answers mind you, but I am curious about what it is in the MIN system that some of you guys thinks will lead to one WR or another having success THIS year. And, imo, saying that Williamson will have a big year this year because he was drafted highly (by the old regime, mind you) is a bit spurrious. Specifically, I think (iirc) that TT was already lining up as the #2 and TW was the #3 ... so, does TW slide over to the #1 and MR slide in as the #3? Or does everyone simply move up one slot? Any homers shed any light on who lined up where at today's practice?
piratesownninjas
Please Wilf get Lelie. Why do you want a trackstar? This is football, you need to be able to catch the ball. Ask the broncos fans, this guy is not a solution to the problem.
TecmoBeast
When BJ first took over, he tried on a few occations to hit Williamson deep. The 2 never connected and BJ started to going to Koren. They should have better chemistry this time around. Williamson gets the most yds because of the deep ball. I wouldn't expect 1000 yds though, this is a bonafide WRBC. Williamson is the clear cut winner. I don't think Travis Taylor or Marcus Robinson are the winners of this, the offense will still be conservative. I would put my money on Wiggins and Kleinsasser getting more balls, even Richardson. If there's one thing I keyed on in the Vikes first preseason game, they want to be physical

My freshman year of college at South Carolina was his final year playing. He played in the conservative offense of Lou Holtz and most of Troy's catches and TD's were short passes and him making a play with the ball for YAC. If this is supposed to be a WC offense, it should benefit Troy. Last year they were trying to use Williamson as the deep threat that was Randy Moss. While he has the speed for deep routes, he was better at YAC in college.
