Primetime9287
As a Frank Gore owner, I am very pleased... As a Cedric Houston owner...actually I think about 30 secs away from being an Ex-Ced Houston owner...
keggerz
bump up gore and bump up Hicks a bunch since he is probably the backup to a RB that has had some major problems with his knees not sure i want any RB running for the Jets
SeductiveNun
Last night I drafted Gore and Cedrick Houston. The night before I only drafted Houston.
giantsfan
Still don't want Barlow. And while obviously this can't hurt Gore I still need to see Gore prove it. All he is now is a big injury risk unproven starter for a bad team. With that said it is better than being a big injury risk possible starter. Maybe he becomes a 4th rounder now, but I still wouldn't take him until the 5th.

piratesownninjas
Do you guys think picking up Barlow now is smart? Barlow has been starting out in San Fran for some time now... The only thing he's shown us in that time is that he has a hugh bag of nothing.
Crazysight
Hmm...he was going to start tonight too. I wonder if he still will with gametime only a few hours away. Guess I'll have to keep waiting to have a chance to see him play.
Crazysight
I'd think this would be "pending a physical" as it was with Suggs, so maybe he'll still start tonight as the niners had originally planned.

keggerz
per kffl.com 49ers | Barlow traded to Jets Sun, 20 Aug 2006 13:29:27 -0700 ESPNews reports the San Francisco 49ers have traded RB Kevan Barlow to the New York Jets.
Primetime9287
I would think if he was traded, there is no way he plays tonight. I can't recall ever seeing an athlete get traded from a team and play one more game for that team after they have been traded in any sport. Doc Holliday
Do you guys think picking up Barlow now is smart? If he is on the waiver wire and you are in a decent sized league(10 teams or more) I think he is a very good pickup.

I'm hearing they kept the doritos and actually tried to keep one can of the Pibb but SF wouln't bite. 6-Pack of Pibb for Barlow it is... I'll take the pib and doritos. At least I know the doritos won't average 3 yards a carry and a cloud of dust.
KUBJPO01
Took Barlow in about 13th round last night based on hearing rumors of this trade. We'll see I guess.

Pib gives you much more, really. Refreshing and smooth, unlike Barlow's running style.
piratesownninjas
Some of the guys in my league are freaking out thinking that they must get this guy... What has Barlow ever done thus far to show us that he is a starting back that can put up numbers? He had a flash when he was coming into spell Garrison Hearst, but nothing since then. CD6405
"This is a great opportunity for Kevan because of New York's need at running back," 49ers coach Mike Nolan said. "Kevan has been committed to our program and done well. With the depth at running back, we felt we could make this move." awww, that's sweet. "Kevan has been committed to our program and done well. With the depth at running back, we felt we could make this move." awww, that's sweet. What he really wanted to say: Kevan needed to go, because he has got a hugh bag of nothing, Gore outplayed him last year and so far this year. The jets have lost their damn mind in trying to trade for Lee Suggs and now Barlow... Talk about quality backs. Kevan has been either hurt, or unimpressive in our program. I have a man crush on Frank Gore, and I wanted Barlow gone.
Crazysight
He happens to be on my dynasty team which is (obviously) offensively-thin jackass. I'll take what I can get for depth. Edited August 20, 2006 by Crazysight
