Scare Tactics
But beaten by this Ya i was about to post it, and when i went for the link, the article was gone, its not in the rotoworld headlines right now, it disappeared, very strange, i had to look up Davis name to find it...smells fishy
hollywood_69
doesnt make sense because jackson is a big bruising back also, but jackson has nagging injuries so maybe davis is around for insurance/ spell reasons, i mean no back carries everydown except lj and lt. shaun even has a 3rd down back come in for him

WaterMan
Of course they want Davis to be the starter. Edited August 24, 2006 by WaterMan
killer angels
I've never been sold on Jackson. Seems too fragile. So does Davis though.
TheMachine
Means u can knock Jax out of your top 5-6...like he has moved up since everyone has over-reacted to the CP injury. Davis will get the goal line carries if he is signed. Tho SJax is a big back, he plays more like a small back, going down way to much on first contact. Jackson loose value? http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...ort=NFL&id=2391 Jackson won't lose any value at all. It's Stephen Davis we're talking about here. He'll get a few carries to spell Jackson along with Fisher and Williams...that's it. NO RBBC, You guys are way too paranoid.

Randall
Moe Williams Stephen Davis Isn't Jim Brown available? Actually he'll probably be good at 70 years old.

There was a reason why CAR cut him. There is a reason why he is still available here at the end of the preseason. Neither of those reasons would be a reason to expect anything from Davis. Mr.OG
Could it be possible they have SDavis there just to motivate SJax to not get too confident since the starting job is now his.....kind of keeping him on his toes in other words. IMO this is whats happening and it can only make Jax better..... Edited August 24, 2006 by Mr.OG
The Wolf
Some guy they'll draft in 2008. Maybe they'll trade for William Green!
Riffraff
I'd expect Davis to try and field offers from multiple teams, then sign with one that plays on grass (or near grass substitute). The reason he hasn't signed may not be about the $$$, it could be about staying healthy and getting some $$$.
LooGie
I'm planning on eloping with Stephen Davis for 3 weeks come late September. It will be a beautiful three weeks, much like Hollywood marriages, I would imagine. Then his knee will give out and I will toss him out like the cheap whore he is. haha...you sound like msaint in his book.
