Big Score 1
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans cornerback Pacman Jones was arrested outside a bar early Friday and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. According to the police report, officers saw Jones arguing loudly with a woman outside a nightclub where a rap concert had been held. Jones, 22, was described by police as slurring his speech, having bloodshot eyes and smelling strongly of alcohol. The arrest came at 1:34 a.m. CT, the day after the Titans broke training camp. Jones had already been excused from Friday's team schedule for personal reasons, according to The Tennessean. Jones was arguing with a woman he accused of stealing his wallet inside the club and passing it to one of her friends, according to police. Officers said they ordered Jones to leave several times, but he refused and continued to shout profanities. sports.espn.go.com Here's some other threads discussing Pacman's troubles earlier this summer. The Wolf
Wasn't he the pick that Jeff Fisher wanted as opposed to whom the GM wanted to take? I don't remember the name of the other player or even if I have this right, but I could see this clown costing Fisher his job.

Who was responsible for the McNair lockout? I think replacing the GM would be more likely.

But Tennessee has not been playing well in the past couple of years, this has to be taken into consideration as well...I should have mentioned this above. When the Titans selected Pacman 6th overall last year, it was generally surmised that they would select either him or Antrel Rolle. Pacman was selected in part, alledgedly, because of his skills as a return man. I was hoping they would take Rolle because he is a bigger more physical db. Pacman is fast, but has character issues to say the least, and can get over-powered by big wr's. I am anxious to see how this plays out... Edit: Pacman was the victim or racial profiling: http://www.wkrn.com/node/42993#top Edited August 25, 2006 by spain

spain
So what's Fisher going to do with this kid spain? I really dont know. Pacman has had a terrific camp and by all indications was staying out of trouble. Well, he was up until his racial profiling arrest last night. Last year, many of the Vets were critical of the way Pacman was handled with kit gloves by Fisher. The team basically quit the last 2 games of the year last year because, in part, Fisher had lost the team over his treatment of Pacman. He and Pacman had a sit down after the season and Pacman promised to have no more distractions. And he has played really well in camp, worked hard, been a good team mate, and done everything they have asked. Then this comes up and we are starting back at square 1. Outside of being witness to a late-night gunfight and his whining interview that the media is out to get him... now this. Sure did do a good job of making sure he was not a distraction to the team at all.
