theprofessor
The guy is a beast and as fast as anyone in the league. Mr. Bush tried to turn the corner on him last week and Ware ran him down. He's a great pass rusher. Why is he not ranked in the top 50?
Sgt. Ryan
Like I told you in you via PM to this question you sent me. Im a Cowboy homer, but look at the stats. If ware doesnt get sacks, which he has yet to do in 3 preseason games, his tackle numbers are below average. So he may be a game changing player, as teams run away from him, he does not fill up the stats sheet, especially at LB compared to many others that do. In the first preseason game, Ware had 0 tackles, and would have got you a goose egg in a half's worth of play. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20060812_DAL@SEA In the 2nd preseason game Ware had 2 solo tackles. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20060821_DAL@NO In the 3rd preseason game Ware had 2 solo tackles. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20060826_SF@DAL Ware had 2 tackles in a half, and depending on your scoring would have netted you 4 or 2 pts respectively. Teams run against Wares side because of his speed, and he doesnt put up consistent tackle numbers especially for teh LB position. he could get 3 sacks in a game, or only end up with 2 solo tackles. He is a Joey Porter clone who is hit or miss, and is too unpredictable to project what he could do in any given week, but will end up with 50 solo tackles, and 8-10 sacks each season which will net you at most 130 pts, in 2 pts per tackles leagues in 80-85 in 1 pt per tackle leagues, Hardly top 50 numbers, and may not even be top 75 for the position. Randall
Merriman isn't in the top 50 either. That's a surprise.
Ziachild007
In IDP fantasy football just because a player is a good player on the field, it doesnt always turn into fantasy points. Sorta like a shutdown CB, teams play away from them, so as Sarge eluded to they dont rack up the points.
