kcmast
I rarely handcuff my guys, but I'm interested in what starting RBs are being handcuffed. Or even who handcuffs and who doesn't...
budlitebrad
Probably LJ/LT2/SA. Even if you don't need them early on, they're nice to have for the playoff weeks when the studs sit. Any starter with the big 5 rookies waiting behind them.
Chargerz
A few handcuffs come to mind.... 1) Chris Brown with Lendale White. 2) Ahman Green with Samkon Gado 3) DeShaun Foster with DeAngelo Williams 4) Corey Dillon with Laurence Maroney I'm sure there are others. Savage Beatings
The Denver RB's Mike and Tinker Bell (maybe even Dayne). Jamal Lewis, Mike Anderson (maybe Musa Smith)
Mark5
Even if you don't have D. Foster get DeAngelo Williams, just think a fast darker Brad Hoover.
NavinRJohnson
Add: Portis and Betts Taylor and Toefield JJ and Barber
Chadman
Although I think very little of Michael Bennett (watched him for years in Minny), I took him with my last pick of a recent draft as a #5 since I have LJ. I guess that is a response to your question, in a way.
NavinRJohnson
The Denver RB's Mike and Tinker Bell (maybe even Dayne). Jamal Lewis, Mike Anderson (maybe Musa Smith) I was thinking of Denver and Balty, but once you start listing 3 and question marks come in...it's probably best to just take a shot at one of them or stay away altogether. yo mama
Guys I'd handcuff this year... - LT2 and Turner are a must - Lewis with Mike Anderson, and if there is room, Musa Smith, too - Thomas Jones/C. Benson with Adrian Peterson - Frank Gore with Maurice Hicks - Mike/Tatum Bell with Ron Dayne (or perhaps C. Cobbs, depending on how things shake out) - Brian Westbrook with Buckhalter (at least for now...) - Warrick Dunn with Norwood - Barber with Jacobs - C. Williams with Pittman - Portis with Betts - Chris Brown with Travis Henry - Maroney/Dillon with Kevin Faulk - Larry J. with M. Bennett - Rudi J. with Chris Perry Though I may have missed one or two, I think the remaining starting RBs don't have a readily identifiable handcuff who'd be worth starting in the first place. Also, I don't considered someone like Mike Bell to be Tatum Bell's handcuff (or vice versa) as they are in an open competition and/or may split time. (Same with the Bears, Colts, Jets, and Saints). yo mama
Fixored again Betts performed pretty well this weekend, no? Better than Duckett, anyways.

yo mama
Maurice Morris...with EVERYTHING going against Alexander this year I am worried... Aside from the Madden cover, what is going against Alexander that isn't also going equally against Morris?
NavinRJohnson
According to Ernest (with a name like that, you've got to believe him) Byner, the Skins RB coach, Betts is number 2 on the depth chart now. Of course, in 2 weeks that may change. So right now, it's Portis and Betts.

Giants56
Well there are so many rbbcs this year, there's not much handcuffing to do. Unless you want to spend 2 picks in back to back or 2 out of 3 rounds you are not getting T.Jones and Benson or Foster and Williams or Rhodes and Addai and the like. I would handcuff Turner to Tomlinson for sure just because Turner would be highly productive if he stepped in there. Usually I am not a huge handcuffing fan though. If you're drafting and want the Portis handcuff, I wouldn't waste a pick on Betts. Especially if you're in a league with limited or cost factor WW moves. (Don't get me wrong, Duckett is no threat to Portis, but most definitely is to Betts.) #2) The trade for Duckett is at least a 3rd round pick. (He's a FA after this year, I doubt they dropped a 3rd rounder for a one year rent-a-back.) #3) Betts is always dinged. #4) Been hearing scuttlebutt that Betts is being shopped. There is no denying that Betts gets dinged up. Though, when healthy, he's been an able fill-in. I had not heard anything about Betts being shopped. Certainly interesting, if true. NavinRJohnson
The fact of the matter is all three Skins RBs will end up being drafted in a 12 team league. I would think the owner who invests a high pick on Portis will/should end up with Betts in the later rounds. Someone else will grab Duckett in the middle rounds. The waiver wire won't help you here.
