past few days, the fantasy section has been down....

 

this is a serious inconvenience as I want to pick up Stallworth...

 

 

 

I know I'm very upset that every year we go through these problems. I think this will be the last year I host our local through them.

I only really had problems on gameday when there is alot of traffic...

 

you'd figure with all the money they are making on money leagues, they would up the bandwidth...

had an online draft last night. started at 9pm. should have been over about 10:30, ended at 2am. many angry people. now i cant get on to make a transaction. not good.

We had our local draft online at Sportsline last night. It was awful to say the least. 10-12 owners had problems with the site, people were getting kicked out of the draft room and the site wouldn't update for chit as the draft went along. It took us 4.5 hours to do a 17 round 12 team draft.

 

I've been using Sportsline for 6 years and never had these kinds of problems. Anyone have a customer service number? I can't find one on their site.

Exact same story with me Swamp. Did my local last night, and it was awful. Wouldn't update, draft room went down constantly, people kept getting bumped. I will definately be moving our league off of CBS next year.

When are people going to stop rewarding CBS for charging excessive prices for an inferior service year after year after year?

 

I've seen numerous accounts of drafts on CBS that crashed completely this weekend - and CBS blaming it on microsoft updates earlier this month.

they have a user friendly system....half the people in my league aren't very internet savvy....

And their system should make allowances for them - especially at their price. How come you don't hear about this kind of nonsense with mfl.com? But there's CBS crashed drafts all over the internet today.

Instead of trusting CBS's draft room may I suggest going to a yahoo chat room to serve those in your league that must draft on the net. Our league has done it for years. The only reason that we stick with CBS is that everybody loves to post funny pics and write funny league stories.

Alot of people in my office are having trouble getting sportsline. Looks like it may not be their fault. If you are just gettign a white screen this could be the issue. I found this by clicking the help button at the top of the page on the left. Its the #1 Help issue right now...

It appears that a conflict between a recent Windows update (KB918899) and Internet Explorer's capability to process Java code is responsible for this problem. Microsoft released this update on August 8th which apparently generated the issue. 2. Search for HTTP 1.1 settings, and uncheck the box. Click OK at the bottom of the page.

3. You will then need to Shutdown your browser and then re-open the browser.

4. This should correct you issue and allow access to your league.

Yeah I tried this but is still doesn't work well. This has been happening only yesterday and today.

We had our draft last night on CBSportsline and it was an abortion. Are league is spead across 4 cities and we actually ended up doing it manually calling everyone from city to city updating everything by cell phone. They are the most expensive site and they cannot provide enough bandwidth or server power to handle the drafts. I have been lobbying to get my league to MFL.com for years and hopefully I'm starting to make in roads with the commish.

 

Word of warning to everyone out there. AVOID CBSportsline like the plague! :D

 

And if you are stuck with it have a plan B for your draft.

I was using Firefox and Mac OS X so it was not some little Windows bug. The draft would freeze, not load and I got a ton of "We are expierencing technically difficulties. Please try again later." When our draft started no one was able to get in. It would freeze and lock up. Finally, by round two I was able to get in and start getting the web site caught up with the draft. That worked until mid way through the fifth round. Then I counldn't get in anymore. I would re-load, re-load, re-load until I can enter another pick. At this point it took me 1 hour to enter 3 picks. Then it took 20 minutes to enter the next 4 picks. re-fresh, re-load, re-fresh, re-load. Then finally when we were in the 12th round it freed up and I was able to enter the rest of the draft. CBSportsline SUCKS!!!!!!!

We went away from CBS last year, but since it wasn't blocked at work and MFL was, we went back. The thing that pisses me off the most is 45% of the screen is taken up with bottles of bud. Why charge that much for a service and then force feed everyone advertising?

it says some message about being available shortly and my information hasn't been lost....

 

it's a message from them and not a problem on my end...

 

I've had noproblems since yesterday..
