This is likely to cover for losing Mungro, or could it be they're not excited by what we've seen from Addai and Rhodes so far. So, what does this do for Addai/Rhodes value, could Wells become a goal line vulture? Also on Monday, the Colts brought in running back Jonathan Wells, a fifth-year NFL veteran from Ohio State who spent the past four seasons with the Houston Texans. Wells rushed for 1,167 yards and 10 touchdowns on 374 carries for Houston. “We’re probably going to sign him,” Dungy said. “Right now, we only have four backs. We don’t want to play Dominic (Rhodes) and Joseph (Addai) a lot against Cincinnati. It will give us an opportunity to look at him.” Said Wells, “Right now, I haven’t even met the coaches. I’m interested in meeting those guys and seeing what they have planned for me.” In Wells’ four seasons, the Texans went 0-8 against Indianapolis. “You can’t come to a better organization,” Wells said. “It’s a class act and they win a lot of games. Bill Swerski Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 I doubt that Wells would vulture goal-line carries, although it might be wise of them to use Wells as a blocking fullback. aggiebones Posted August 30, 2006 Share Posted August 30, 2006 Rhodes is a FA. If Addai takes the position in game 6 for instance, Rhodes will have shown signs of being a good back.
