bigdadreed
I just flipped on ESPN to watch my beloved Vols & f'in Paul Maguire is doing the color commentary. I thought this guy was shipped off to some retirement home. I was envisioning him puttering around in his golf cart going "hey, watch this!". Randall
I think he's one of the best in the game... That must be a game on another planet. When I listen to him it sounds like he is only entertaining himself and the game is secondary. Theissman went to MNF and Maguire and what's his name both got college jobs. rellen13
I can't stand listening to him in the booth, but he's been on local radio a couple of times in the past and I thought he was both insightful and rather funny. Maybe he was on early enough and was'nt past the "buzzed" stage.

Rovers
I can honestly say that when he had his heart attack a decade ago.... I was rooting for the grim reaper. But, that's life as a Jets fan.... you never get what you root for.

Easy n Dirty
I can honestly say that when he had his heart attack a decade ago.... I was rooting for the grim reaper. But, that's life as a Jets fan.... you never get what you root for. Morbid and completely wrong, but this made me laugh. When the Jets started the season 10-1 back in 1986, I'm pretty sure it was Maguire who came out and said they would not win another game all season - and he was right. That collapse still pains us fans of Gang Green. Than Maguire came out before our widlcard playoff game against the Chiefs and said we would win - right again. What follows after that is too painful to recount, something with bernie Kosar, Webster Slaughter, ...It's all kind of fuzzy to me.

Rovers
I paticularly liked when he was talking about taking a cheap shot at a player that he said was his friend this year on ESPN.... said he tried to take a knee out on the guy. It was on special teams, and he was talking about how much he loved playing ST's... he knew the refs weren't watching, so he would try to cripple guys.... even guys he claimed to be friends with. I hope the fart mustard has another heart attack... the BIG one. I'd love to see him in a hotel lobby.... and take his knees out with a running start. That would make me happy. I'd be even happier if someone else did it though.
Tega
I don't need to listen to a guy who gets his jollies over whether he guesses correctly if it's a 1st down or not. In my opinion, he offers nothing to the broadcast of an NFL game except annoyance.
