Ditka Doom Posted September 3, 2006 Share Posted September 3, 2006 Steve Reed, of the Gaston Gazette, reports the Carolina Panthers could possibly take a look at free agent RB Ron Dayne (Broncos). Dayne played with the New York Giants when Panthers' head coach John Fox was in New York and he could be the short-yardage back the Panthers are looking for. If he couldn't beat out Mike Bell for the starting job there, he's going to be horrible elsewhere. Just look at how useless he was in NY...
