theeohiostate
Source: John Tomase, Boston Herald According to a source from Seattle, the Seattle Seahawks believe they still are in the mix related to a potential trade for New England Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch. The team's 4:00pm deadline for dealing Branch came and went on Friday without the Patriots receiving an offer good enough to meet their demands. If this report is correct and Seattle is still looking at ways to aquire Branch, i'd say D.Jackson is in alot more trouble of starting the season then we may know. theeohiostate
Source: John Tomasse, Boston Herald According to league sources, if wide receiver Deion Branch wins his grievance against the New England Patriots, he would be traded to the New York Jets. The Jets apparently were the only team to officially offer the Patriots a draft pick in exchange for the former Super Bowl MVP. While the Seattle Seahawks had been in discussions with New England, sources close to the Patriots state that they never made an official offer. Both teams made the same contract offer to Branch of 6 years for $39 million with a $13 million signing bonus.
