Texans head coach Gary Kubiak was asked about the running back starters Wednesday:

(on backfield starters)

Kubiak: "Wali (Lundy) will start with Jameel (Cook). That'll be the two starters. Of course (Vernand) Morency is going to play a great deal. Lundy and Morency are basically going to split time, with Wali probably playing a bit more. But we're going to be in a rotating two backs rotation system."

Looks lik the competitions is just beginning in earnest.

In our draft monday I took Mike Bel over Lundy in round 6. He plays on a much better team.

Hi must be. I am holding Morency for now. I am tempted about having C. Cobbs take his roster spot (no one else I can drop right now) but will sit tight and see how this Texans RB situation plays out. Dayne in the mix does not help though.

The guy that shows the most will tote the rock the most. Both Lundy and Morency were great hedges where they were drafted. My money is on Lundy, but the issue will be settled on the field, not in print. Round 1 Sunday!!!!

I agree, nothing like getting Lundy in the 16th round after only his first pre season game :D
