CaGamblers
Now that Arlen Harris has been cut who is the the real #2 Rb behind KJ? Brian Calhoon or Shawn Bryson? Edited September 8, 2006 by CaGamblers
Snoil
I doubt either would assume a feature back role, Bryson would get third down duty plus anytime they were throwing he'd be in there. Probably a 60/40 split in workload Bryson over Calhoon.
piratesownninjas
I don't think either really has any value, although, if im drafting one of them I take Calhoun.

Probably a 60/40 split in workload Bryson over Calhoon. Based upon what? Last I saw, Bryson was the #1 FB. What's the word on Harris? With the cut being so sudden and well into week 1 prep, it almost seems like this is a disciplinary cut. In any case, DET is functioning right now with a grand total of 4 backs - RBs Jones & Calhoun & FBs Bryson & Schlesinger. That's awfully thin. piratesownninjas
and I'll take the 2nd halfback over the 1st team fullback.
Randall
Martz liked Harris in St Louis. I believe he is #2 at this momemnt but Calhoun may be soon. Missed his being dropped. Calhoun may be the man. He is on the Lions web site. Edited September 8, 2006 by Randall

Randall - Harris was cut this morning, hence the discussion. I'll find a link for you. link News bulletin Lions release RB Harris, sign receiver from practice squad September 8, 2006 The Lions released running back Arlen Harris and signed wide receiver Devale Ellis from their practice squad Friday. No explanation was given. The move was announced after Lions coach Rod Marinelli addressed the media for the final time before Sunday's season opener against Seattle. Harris, who played for offensive coordinator Mike Martz in St. Louis, was expected to play a role in the offense. The Lions cut running back Artose Pinner on Saturday, and Pinner was claimed off waivers by Minnesota. broncosn05
I think Calhoun has a huge chance to produce next year or if Jones goes does. He is highly versatile and as we saw with Gore over Barlow the point he was drafted by this new staff.
