jjpro11
ive been subscribing for over a year now and love it.. i mainly use it for boxing and other fight events on ppv , because they show every one.. just about every nfl game is shown each week.. i still go the the sports bar for the steelers because the quality isnt good enough and i enjoy the bar more. but you really cant beat the deal for what you get.. college football, baseball, basketball, hockey.. they show it all. LosGatosEnFuegos
Quality isn't good enough? How bad are we talking? This seems like the answer to all of my prayers. I would gladly pay for NFL Field Pass, but I live in NYC and can't get satellite. And the NFL won't let cable providers show other games because of an agreement with DirecTV. So if the quality is tolerable, I'd be totally stoked about this.

theeohiostate
keg, don't know much about this service but what i do know is you'd better have your pc hardwired to your internet and it should be broadband. I stream HD and regular video throughout my network with Windows Media Center and if you don't have good internet speed your video will get very choppy. I just went to CAT6 eternet thoughout the house with a 1000mbps switch to help out the speed on my network. They say 10 mbps works for streaming video, but i can attest it doesn't, you'll need 100mbps to have it run smoothly.

keggerz
Give us a review. How is the quality? I will say this it is not the best pic in the world by any stretch of the immagination but if you dont have DirectTV or you normally have to "WATCH" games on cbs.sportline because you dont have access to a TV because you are at work it unFrikinbelievable
keggerz
Will they carry all the games (or at least most)? i read either on their MB or on the SF MB(thats where I found out about it while i was doing some IDP research) that they had EVERY NFL game last year except one bears game

jjpro11
you need winamp to view the streams since they are in .nsv format. its a free download. go to the help section on their forum if you cant view the streams.. you will likely need to download the codecs they list in the help section. thats all free too. its very easy to set up if you just read the help section. its not a file sharing program because you dont download anything from anyone.. the streams are set up for all to view from some kind of host i guess.. so no spyware or anything you get with file sharing stuff. quality varies from stream to stream. theres nothing you can do about it as internet speed wont effect the viewing quality.. you will probably have some pauses during the stream due to a break in connection if you use a slow internet.. i just use basic cable high speed internet and it works fine. all streams are viewable, just some run smoother than others. i connect my laptop to my tv for boxing and ufc events and it actually looks better on a 55" screen than a 15.4" screen which amazes me. i watched the preseason steelers games on streamtvnow without a problem.. i just prefer going to the sports bar and watching it with other steeler fans. if something were to happen and i couldnt make it, streamtvnow would fill in just fine for me.
