What does everyone think about the Football Night in America show?

I think it sucks. They're showing highlights and 4 guys are all yelling crap at the same time. Costas is great at what he does but Collinsworth, Sharpe and Bettis are going to kill this show.

The whole thing (analysis, theme song, etc...) is LAME. They are trying much too hard to be Monday Night Football as it was run by ABC. Obviously, they're committed to the format for this year, but if they were smart, they'd go back and rework it.

As much as Chris Berman annoys me, I really miss Primetime on ESPN after watching that weak display on NBC.

So far, it reminds me of the Torino Olympics mixed with Inside the NFL, which yields a final product of crap. Costas should run from this like the plague--Collinsworth and the Bus are #2 and #3 worst commentators in professional football. Of course, #1 would be...

Joseph Theismann.

:D

I was thinking the exact same thing.

This show is dry and dull. Too many talking heads, and not enough highlights. They are trying to funny like the guys on the Fox pregame show. Chris Berman got on my nerves sometimes, but he and Tom Jackson did it right on NFL Primetime. Man, I miss NFL Primetime. :D

This show just gives me a bad vibe. Costas is what is carrying the show right now. I feel like they are trying to be too "nice". I don't know; just present the info in a cool way and they aren't really doing that.

You have Sterling Sharpe screaming, Jerome Bettis in his first talking gig. Not a good spot for Collinsworth, but the less he talks, the better we all are anyway. Costas cut into Favre a little bit, way more than you'd ever hear Berman rip someone. I mentioned in the skybox that when Costas rips you, you know you've f'd up.

The thing I noticed is it is not segregated like the ESPN primetime. Boomer and Ditka are on the left with Irvin and Jackson on the right.

On This one though, they got Costas and Collinsworth in the middle and then Sharpe and Bettis on the sides.

It's more aesthetically pleasing.
