Sam
The Wednesday update is out: Thanks Billy. I've already seen the report. The reason I'm asking (and I probably should have stated this in my initial thread) is in one of my leagues we're allowed to bid on FA up until 9:00 PM Central. There are no pick ups allowed for the rest of the week. I'm pushing the league to move the bidding deadline to at least Thursday night. To strengthen my arguement I was hoping to tell them that the official injury report doesn't come out until late Wed. but I wanted to know for sure what time it comes out beforehand. Bronco Billy
There are no pick ups allowed for the rest of the week. What's the logic behind this? Injury status can be in flux right up until game time. Once bids have been assigned & awarded for the most desireable FAs, why wouldn't the rest of the FA pool be available to fill unexpected holes in an owner's lineup due to a surprise change in injury status? I might be sounding dense, but I just can't understand the reason for closing the pool for the rest of the week, given that new information comes out after your bid period is closed. You're not sounding dense at all. I try every year to get them to change it (We're in our 10th year). I've all but given up. I'm now trying to get them to at least move it back to Thursday. At this point I'll take what I can get. A couple guys agree with me but not enough to get the majority vote. The ones against changing it argue that we have 13 roster spots and should be able to account for injuries (or whatever) with our back-ups. smithkt
You might want to let them know that there is a second official report which comes out on Friday. It's entirely possible for a player's status to change completely from one report to the next.
