Did he aggravate his ankle, or are the colts just being cautious 09/17 17:17 Colts: Vinatieri doesn't finish The News Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri did not come out for a kickoff in the fourth quarter after making a PAT for undisclosed reasons. Hunter Smith, the Colts punter, handled kickoff duties for Vinatieri. Prior to that, Vinatieri made three field goals and four extra points. Smith attempted final PAT for Colts in fourth quarter and had it blocked. Our View This is troublesome news for Vinatieri owners. The fact that Smith attempted the final PAT certainly indicates that all is not well with new Colts kicker. cdrudge Posted September 17, 2006 Share Posted September 17, 2006 They mentioned on his last PAT or GF that the had some problem in his groin. He walked off a little strangely, but it didn't look serious at the time. My guess is that they didn't play him to make it even worse.
