In Cedric Cobbs' only touch of the football last weekend, he muffed a kickoff at the start of overtime, barely recovering it before KC fell on it at the DEN 16 yd line, which almost cost DEN the game. At the same time, he apparently also sprained his ankle pretty badly and was seen heading out of the Broncos' facilities on crutches. No link - heard it on the radio yesterday. Found a link: link Cobbs suffered a sprained right ankle fielding a kickoff in overtime. He left the stadium on crutches Sunday night and still was using the crutches Monday. Figured a 2nd stringer behind an occasionally gimpy starter was better than a 3rd stringer behind two slightly gimpy/interchangable starters, even if they're in unpredictable Denver.
