gcs
My redraft league switched to an auction draft this year and we are trying to figure out the best way to handle trades. Is anyone willing to describe how your auction league handles trades using the salary cap? Do you have to trade like amounts or adjust your team based on the traded players auction value or etc...???? Thanks in advance for any help! gcs
The Wolf
We don't hold a salary cap during the season. The auction cap is $300. Once the auction is completed and the rosters are set, trades may commence.
Big Country
In my auction league, both teams must be cap compliant after the trade, whether that means adding in players to one side to make the cap work or having one team drop players and fill in with minimum cap number scrubs to make the cap. In this particular league, we have to post the moves to make each team compliant as part of the trade details.
BeeR
We don't hold a salary cap during the season. Caps are too busy IMO - if you're going to do that it should be a dynasty league, ie go the whole way.
Jolly Rodgers
My auction league does not use a salary cap. After the draft every team is able to trade for whomever. The players paid price means nothing after the draft.

My particular league is a dynasty, thus the reason for sticking to the cap throughout
