S.Jax

Endzone

I projected S.Jax to be a stud this year. But with no TDs and playing soft teams...Is it him, the O-Line, coaching? Haven't seen a Rams game yet but he must have had some chances in the from inside the 5 Yd but it seems they are throwing instead of pounding him in.

He's been getting yarding the first couple of games but what about the TDs?

I think this offense will come around. By season's end S. Jax owners will be very happy with their 1st round draft choice.

I've chimed in on this before, so I'll keep it brief. Jackson is fine if he is operating in space, he is quick and elusive. But the Rams are frustrated with his running style and unwillingness to change it in traffic. He runs tentative, upright, and with amazingly poor balance. He is a one-touch-and-he's-down back if you even touch him below the waist.

If you're stupid enough to grab him high or jump on his back, he'll drag you ten yards because he's strong as an ox. But in traffic and in short yardage, the Rams have ZERO confidence in his ability to get yards. Based on his size you'd expect him to be a beast up the middle, but he simply IS NOT. The announcers for yesterday's game kept talking about him being a Mack truck and steamrolling guys, but they are 100% dead wrong. I've seen every single minute of every single St. Louis Rams game in their history here and I've never seen him run physical in my life.

When he finds the end zone this year (and he will) it will be from outside the red zone on something he busted outside. Linehan is very frustrated with a back he considers "uncoachable." As a fan, it's frustrating to watch. He has gotten yards, as I said he has great burst and elusiveness, but he could be a great back if he'd just listen.
