Calling NYJ Homers

Blaylock could well be inactive again this week. Washington should see an increase in his touches, maybe as many as 8 carries and 5 receptions... along those lines. Barlow will almost certainly start, but might not get 15 touches, depending upon how many Cedric Houston might get. RBBC all the way.

PS: Stricly my opinion, but based on what I've seen and heard so far.

I heard Barlow was starting but the so called experts on espn say washington is....?

Is this a joke (a la Warner and Leinert) or did you actually hear/read this? Everything I've seen suggests Barlow will start.

According to the Newark Star Ledger, Barlow worked with the first team.... Houston worked with the second team, and Washington was in on a "special package" designed for Indy... whatever that means.

At this point Washington isn't the starter I don't know where ESPN heard this. Local radio show says barlow is going to be the starter.

However, the coach is going to try to slowly work Washington into the mix. By the end of the season I can see Washington starting but I can't see him EVER taking a full load (sounds funny) on any team.

My homer opinion.

Who is starting this week against the Colts and will they be splitting carries with anyone on the team?

I seriously doubt Leon Washington is the starter at this time or any other this season. Why? Because having him as the starter makes no sense. He is the classic change of pace guy and he is most effective when you put him in the game fresh against a defense that is getting a little tired. Barlow will be the starter (at least for now) and Houston will get a couple of carries. Washington will still get 10-15 touches a game because he is is basically Westbrook-light. He is an exciting player that adds speed and great moves and you can move him around all over the field. Mark my words, Leon will be one of the Jet MVPs on offense before this season is over but he will have a few great games interspersed with some very non-descript ones. In short, I doubt you will be able to ever really count on him as a fantasy starter, but if I was desperate for a starter on a bye week or injury you could do a lot worse. Classic 4th or 5th RB to have on your roster and I think very worthy of a spot.

But he isnt going to be the starter.

Blaylock stinks and is in danger of getting cut. Leon makes him irrelevant. Blaylock looks slow and unimpressive. Houston looked good last week (especially on his TD run) and i wouldnt be shocked to see him emerge as the season progresses if he improves his blocking.
