Ram's O

Last week was a positive step forward for the passing game, but will it continue? The Rams have been boring the doughnuts out of me so far this year. Will it be run first AND pass only when necessary, or will the new coaching staff realize the benefits of the QB/WR'S tools they have on the field?

Linehan's approach is much more ball-control & low-risk than the Air Martz days. The Rams days as an offensive juggernaut are likely over. I would not call it a run-first offense, just more balanced & risk adverse than the Mad Mike days.

I can't wait to see the matchup this week when Martz & the Lions are back in town.

Last year they threw to Chambers a ton in Miami. Why not do the same in Ramland?

Well, for starters, Chambers is not on the team.

But, seriously, Holt has 20 catches & 2 TD's already. He should have had another TD when he caught a ball in the end zone last week & was shoved out of bounds before landing. The Rams are still throwing the ball, just not as wildly as years past.

I can't remember which site I read this on, but apparently last week they let Bulger call the plays using some of the older Martz terminology he's more comfortable with, and it did seem like the offense was clicking more.

I don't think this is a radical shift in Linehan's philosophy, obviously, but it seems like they're taking some steps to make Bulger comfortable with the new system.

THey have reshuffled the playbook, inserting quite a few of the plays from last year. I'm expecting today to be a shootout, but there is a major concern with Bulgers accuracy. There may be something up with hs shoulder (twice injured in two season) that is affecting his play.
