rwerbeck
Does anyone have any thoughts on limiting how many players a fantasy team can drop or add during a season? I'm in a league now where some teams are intentially hoarding players instead of keeping the league competitive.
alexgaddis
I think limits are bad...it punishes the owners who are savvy enough to take chances on guys that might turn into good players...
Avernus
there should be no limit...but transactions should cost 5.00 the league I run charges 5 bucks to add a player unless someone is clearly injured and not playing, then you get a free move.. MonkeyOne
No limits, reduce bench sizes if there are really no active players on the wire. A team should keep the bench as stocked as they can.
Bier Meister
nothing wrong with using your bench to add depth. that depth can be used for: 1. byes 2. injuries 3. trades 4. keeping your opponents from having more valuable players (who might score more against you). Bronco Billy
I agree with others here. It doesn't sound like number of transactions are the problem, it sounds like the rosters are too large.
MrTed46
I like transaction limits. I dont like the fact that you can keep changing your team everyweek to benefit matchups.
whitem0nkey
how about weekly limits. like no more than 3 pick up waiver wire period
Menudo
I guess I'm going against the grain, but, I love transaction limits. 2 of my 7 leagues have transaction limits, and I think it brings a lot of strategy into play. You need to think twice before taking shots at players. I really think it brings another element into the game and challenges you to be a better owner. Slugs
We require a 5 dollar fee for each move. We used to have an IR where you could stash up to 2 players, but they had to stay there for at least 5 weeks. It was an interesting way to dig for mid season gold, but we dropped it a few years ago when we expanded the teams to 13 offensive & 10 defensive players. Grits and Shins
My local allows as many transactions as you'd like ... but starting in week 5 they cost $5+ In one of my BOTH leagues only 2 per week are allowed It is definitely a different spin on things

My I'm with you. i like the added strategy. our limit is pretty generous at 25 transactions, but at least it makes you think twice before dropping and adding players, defenses, etc. every week.
