Bedoman
This guy looks great again.....Catches just about everything... What do you think Favre starting to trust Jennings more??? Driver has dropped a couple slants one for sure for a TD and this last drive another for a good long gainer...

You don't have to condemn Driver to elevate Jennings. They are both good, but Driver gets the better defenders.

They are both good, but Driver gets the better defenders. Going up against the better defender is no exscuse for dropping easy balls. Driver has always been the guy that catches things that he shouldnt have, and dropping anything that hits him in the numbers. He's always been that way, I've learned to accept it. Driver has been and will only be a good receiver. Jennings has the potential to be great. Speed, hands, crip route running. Driver has looked horrible tonight. Jennings continues to shine... Bedoman
Definitely not condeming Driver but Jennings looks to have really gained Favre's trust something GB has not had in a while. I think Jennings will start to make Driver better also. GB has not had a reliable #2 last year to help Driver out. Basically saying Jennings looks great. Packers had a chance this game...OOPS not anymore

He makes plays.
CaptainHook
then what about every other game he's been in starting at pre season? He makes plays. Didn't say he was a bad receiver. Just giving a reason why he got so many looks today. Just two weeks ago Driver had 8 catches for 153.
Avernus
I believe Jennings is getting to go up against the Eagles third string corner. . . sometimes he goes against Sheldon Brown....but the next corners on the depth chart are Sheppard and Hood, which leaves Hanson and Wynn.......in that order... he went against Hanson and Brown off and on... I believe Jennings is getting to go up against the Eagles third string corner. . . Jennings and Driver are pretty much the same player, except Driver is a proven performer and Jennings isn't; more games like last week and this week and Driver will start seeing single coverage more often, and things will even back out. Jennings does look very advanced for a rook on his 4th game, though. I still don't see him approaching Driver's season totals when all is said and done. samurai30
Driver had an off night...he should of caught that short slant for a TD. Driver has been great up to tonights game...give him a break. The emergence of jennings will only help driver!!!!
piratesownninjas
Jennings and Driver are pretty much the same player, I completley disagree. We know how good Driver is, and will be. Jennings ceiling is much higher in my opinion... I think he has the potential to be an elite level receiver. Driver's hands are nothing to write home about, Jennings hasnt really dropped anything thats been in the area. I see Jennings more in the Marvin Harrison mold. Im not saying his Harrison level, just in the same mold.

Hmmm, slightly undersized, tough, excellent route-runner, has the grapes to go across the middle and make the catch... ...yeah, that's NOTHING like Driver. Randall
Favre has said he thinks Jennings is like Freeman, but I liken him to Driver myself, good hands, flies ouf of his breaks, not great speed but good football speed. Chad Jackson, if he makes it, is probably the best talent out of the rookies, but I like Jennnings a lot. Unlike Driver he is starting as a rookie. EDIT-Marvin is a stretch. Few catch Harrison from behind. I lke Jennings, but he doesn't have great straight line spedd. He has what Driver has good football speed. Good body control, good cutting ability and vision. Raider.Nation
What's funny, is that after watching Jennings for a couple games, the one receiver he most reminds me of, is DONALD DRIVER. I know Driver has dropped some easy passes over the years, but he is still a special player. Jennings looks to be built in the same mold, same attitude... Hopefully for Packer fans, they get a real QB out of Rodgers for those 2 WR's.

The colts former receivers coach said that he is a near clone of Harrison... And Drivers hands are anything but reliable. He makes catches you don't expect him to, but drops stuff that hits him right in the hands... Kind of like Monday...
piratesownninjas
Im not saying he's the next Marvin Harrison. Players like that come around once every 10-15 years. Im saying he's the same type of player.
