Matts1
I feel like the commissioner of my league has pulled a fast one over us changing defensive points and picking up the best defenses in the league. Just curious what these defenses scored in your leagues this week and if this is abnormally high: D. Bears DST 6 PA, 230 YDS, 2 Int, 5 SACK FPS: 23 D. Ravens DST 13 PA, 284 YDS, Int, SACK, STY FPS :
Sharpie
What did you commish do? Did he change the rules mid season and pick up the Bears? Can you clarify? In my league, the Bears outscored the Ravens.

Sorry, I didn't make it clear enough, we're a bunch of guys that play in the same league every year so we expect the same scoring rules.. this year it appears good defenses are outscoring good running backs and I can only attribute this to a change in his scoring the defenses. No one expected defenses to be as a valuable as they are and it just so happens he picked up great defenses abnormally early in the draft. I just wanted to see what other leagues had their defenses at last week, if the majority of your leagues scored the Bears at 10 points last week I'll have so more to go on when I confront my commish. If not then I'm just being paranoid Edited October 3, 2006 by Matts1

pzarvell
Did he announce the scoring changes before the draft so everyone knew (and no one properly studied or took the changes seriously which isn't his fault) or did he adjust the scoring system without anyone knowing thus giving himself an advantage? There's a huge difference.
penguin Lancer
I know the guy who made my league handed our sheets with the rules a week early, which rated Defenses really high, so meh.

If not then I'm just being paranoid It is not uncommon for Defenses/ST to outscore all but the top RBs. It still should not affect the way you draft because of scarcity of players at the position to the amount of starters every week. The Bears went pretty early in most drafts I was involved in. Right now, it's the Bears and Ravens at the top in probably every league.
