forever in debt to mo lewis
Punter Donnie Jones (On the dropped punt snap) "The ball came back and it was very slick. Anytime the ball is snapped there is dirt on it. I am not making any excuses, I just have to do a better job and focus on the routine of the play." On the field condition) "My footing was fine when the game started. It was pretty compact at the start but as the game went on it got progressively worse and you had to be really under yourself. You didn’t have any footing at the end of the game. Olindo Mare changed his cleats after the first miss but I was sticking with mine." Long snapper John Denney (On the field conditions) "Olindo Mare was trying to find his footing all game, and you get out there and you roll the ball around and it was covered with all that fine powder. I had to dust that off." Kicker Olindo Mare (On missed field goal) "It’s tough. Not having a chance to plant is tough. You’ve got to change the way you approach the ball and the only way to beat it is to go slower and you can’t do that. I blame myself. You slip and it doesn’t matter how far the… you can’t make contact if you are still moving. I’m not complaining; it is what it is."
bigrocks
Wonders never cease.... members of the media are unanimous today in their criticism of the field conditions at Gillette Stadium. If this continues they might do something crazy like criticize Belichick's sideline wardrobe, or *gasp* disparage Tom Brady if he throws an ill-advised interception.
