Does anyone have Thornton on their squad?

Recommended Posts

IN our scoring system, Thornton is the 13th highest scoring LB ytd (without a bye week so far). He's averaging 11 pts a game. In comparison, my two leading LBs are averaging 13.9 pts (DeMeco Ryans) and 12.6 (Kirk Morrison) - both of whom have had bye weeks thus far.

To my point, is he available in your league, and is he worth a roster spot given my lineup (see signature)? Also, how much room is there on this team for additional tackle grabbing with Bulluck on the field? Clearly their offense blows, so there's lots of run defense later in the game. Bah, feel like I'm talking myself into picking him up, but I don't want him.

I'm picking up Dansby. Who would you rather have of the two?

i own thornton and he is #8 in our scoring...i am currently shopping him...i think he will continue to put up solid numbers due to the amount of time that defense will spend on the field

why am i shopping him? because he isnt really able to help me win so I might as well get some value for him

Sell him now, his value will only decrease from that monster game Sunday.

cut his sunday score in half and he is still a top 20 LB for the season so far

but on another note sarge, today i read that Tenn is playing more of a right side left side with their LBs like JAX does, do you know when they started that?

Yes, follow the sage advice offered here. If you own him, shop him. However, if you're in dire need of LB help, he could serve as a decent bye week or injury fill-in.

The guy had 81 total tackles last year (average), 92 the year previous (also rather average), but 145 (112 solos) the year before that (2003) for the Colts. Obviously a different situation here in Tennessee lining up with the likes of Keith Bulluck, though.

Im not saying he isnt a good LB, what Im saying is he is unlikely to keep his current pace, and his value is at its peak right now. Im not knocking the guy, as I own him in several leagues as my # 3-4 LB.

Are you saying that because you expect their offense to improve down the stretch (thus keeping him off the field)?
