SLAYER
WR Stallworth Doubtful, Slight Hamstring Tear Bob Grotz, Delaware County Times - WR Donte Stallworth, who spent four seasons with the Saints, was held out of practice and is listed as doubtful. He is hopeful of getting back on the field despite a slightly torn hamstring. After 3 weeks they discover it is slightly torn. Doesn't a bad pull nag for all year and pops up throughout to cause missed plays, halves, and games. Just think what a slight tear does and we all know how Donte plays through pain. Bill Swerski
As a Reggie Brown owner... Yep, he'll be seeing double-coverage all of the time now.
alexgaddis
As a Reggie Brown owner... So you also own Hank Baskett?
billay
Yep, he'll be seeing double-coverage all of the time now. Brown has certainly benefited from Stallworth's absence thus far, wouldn't you say?
Goopster24
Haskett has got to be a nice pickup now. He looked pretty solid last week and he still dropped a long one or two. I like his chances.
Bill Swerski
Brown has certainly benefited from Stallworth's absence thus far, wouldn't you say? It's difficult to say. Two of his three scores were during Weeks 1 and 2. Westbrook's recent absence from the field has increased Brown's numbers as well. And the Eagles played some horrible secondaries in Weeks 3 and 4. Brown will naturally get more looks with key players like Stallworth and Westbrook on the bench with injuries. But that works both ways. Opposing defenses will begin to pay more attention to Brown. They sure as hell aren't going to double-cover Greg Lewis or Hank Baskett. And if Westbrook's bad knees keep him on the bench, that's one less weapon for opposing defenses to keep in check.
