ABearWithFurniture
Didn't see any projections in the Start/Bench lists nor the Player Projections (besides the obligatory 10 rushes a week) for Turner this weekend. I have to believe that this game is decided by the end of the first quarter and Tomlinson sees less and less carries and Turner gets the bulk starting sometime in the 2nd quarter... Anybody else thinking along these lines?

Anybody else thinking along these lines? Yep. If the Chargers perform as expected against SF, you'll see alot of Turner, especially in the second half. Edit to add: And if Marty goes with Turner and LT in the backfield together, you'll see Turner on the field in the FIRST half too. ABearWithFurniture
I'm thinking Turner gets at least 80-100 yds rushing and 1 TD...
yo mama
I'm playing LT2 and Turner in both the leagues I own them this week. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they both notch a score.

crispirons
i have turner in 3 out of my 5 leagues. this week i promoted him from my taxi squad in fusion (where he had been sitting a few yrs) and i'm starting him there. i have enough talent in my other leagues i have him in so he will sit on the bench behind the likes of tatum, willis, julius. still, how can you not be optimistic about the rest of the season and next yr with him. The Wolf
I replaced Mason with Turner in my flex position this week. Comparatively speaking, whatever Turner gives me will be worth more than what Mason does.
darin3
Let me preface this by saying that I, too, am starting Turner in a league where I've been bitten by the bye week bug. BUT... Something tells me, deep down inside... that the Niners may put up a bit of a fight. Just enough to keep LT2 on the field as if it were a "normal" game. Turner will spell Tomlinson, as per the norm. Of course I could be completely wrong and Turner will go for 125 yards and 2 scores in the course of 2 and a half quarters. That would make me happy. yo mama
Did you know that Michael Turner is currently sporting the 2nd highest YPC of all RBs, and the 3rd highest YPC in the NFL overall (Vick is #1). That's right: Turner has clocked in at 6.8 YPC thus far. And on 41 carries, that sample size is decent enough to overcome most of my skeptism about whether he's worth playing as a flex/bye week replacement, even if he only gets 10 or 12 carries a game. Considering Turner averaged 6.6 YPC against BAL, and 5.1 YPC against PIT, I'm inclined to believe his overall season average YPC isn't going down anytime soon. (And let's not forget the 10+ YPC versus TEN...). Furthermore, despite an early bye, Turner has had 10 carries in the red zone, which is more than Dunn, Droughns, Foster, Caddy, Reggie Bush, Barlow, Tatum Bell, Travis Henry, Westbrook, Barber, or Jordan (to name a few). You go, Mike Turner. You Go.

cheezhed
Bye week is killing this week in one of my leagues and I am definetely playing Mike Turner and hoping to look like a genius as he racks up 2 scores and 120 yards. What?, It could happen...
sv303
Is it worth considering starting Turner @ SF over C.Williams @ Cincy? I'm afraid a pissed off Bengals team isn't going to allow much offense from TB, while Turner actually has a chance at punching one in against the Niners. I think the niners will do what they did to LJ a few weeks ago for the first half and hold LT to minimal gains. The problem is the niners have no pass rush, or corners to help, so I see Rivers having his best day ever as a QB. Once the 4th quarter hits Marty will have to decide if he wants to get LT his yards or save him. I've seen Marty playing LT late in games that were already decided and that was mind boggling to me. Well, we've also seen Turner playing in the first quarter while LT is over pacing the sidelines with a tie score or the Chargers are behind...kinda why we're all sitting here speculating in this thread

I'm afraid a pissed off Bengals team isn't going to allow much offense from TB, while Turner actually has a chance at punching one in against the Niners. cinci defense is in disarray. they've been off for a week with the bye and the last game they played new england thumped them. i was recommending the bucs last week on the moneyline against the saints. with the kenyatta news, i backed off of it. they easily could have won that game and they got amBUSHed by that punt return. my point is, i think the bucs have a great shot at the upset in this game and i would go with caddy. Doc Holliday
I think Turner is a weak #2 / strong # 3 this week If I was to try and predict what I think he will do I would say about 50 yards with a TD.
