Spartans91
What the heck is going on? This matchup at home against the Titans was to be his 150 and 2 td game. Going to be hard on 14 carries for the game. And the result - the 2 td underdog Titans down only 1 pt. Ugh!

Rudi is going against the worst run defense in the NFL and had 3 yards in the first half yet you're complaining? Perhaps we can sue. DMD said Losman woulg have 270 and 3 TD's. I think we have a good case. Lighten up man. Edited October 15, 2006 by Randall

Randall, I think he was referring to the Skins going up against one of THE worst run D's in the entire NFL & having their All Pro running back basically be a spectator. Sure Portis got a couple of TD's, but they never really let him take over a game he could have easily dominated. The Skins D couldn't keep Tenn off the field & the TOP was heavily in favor of the Titans. If your D can't get the ball back for your offense, then logic would suggest that it might be a good idea to turn your offense into a ball control offense. I put the loss squarely on the Skins play calling.

Rudi also had 7 carries and 3 yards against the 3rd worst run D in the league. Sure I'd like to see him do better too. People complain way too early in here. I see some complaining when Alexander and LT only having one touchdown. They really should have a little faith in their players. I know it's frustratiing, but they really should let the game play out.
Big Score 1
Rudi also had 7 carries and 3 yards against the 3rd worst run D in the league. Sure I'd like to see him do better too. I hear what you're saying Randall, but comparing Rudi & Portis might not be the best of examples, considering their overall team situations are not very similar. Rudi you can somewhat understand maybe getting only a few carries a game here & there, considering Cincy's other surrounding offensive talent & firepower in Palmer, Johnson & Housh. Conversely, the Skins offense definitely runs through Portis first & foremost with Moss a distant second because he's dependent on Brunell getting him the ball. Why on earth the Skins Coaches decided to neuter their offense, is just beyond comprehension. The Skins loss was well earned & richly deserved in my opinion.
