Alexander out at least two more weeks

Hmm... Maurice Morris was good insurance though that policy is not covering the cost of the original.

SEATTLE -- Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren said running back Shaun Alexander will be out at least two more weeks with a broken bone in his left foot.

Holmgren said Alexander is walking around without pain, but the team wants to make sure the crack mends so it doesn't re-break and require surgery.

Alexander injured the foot in the season opener at Detroit.

While Morris isn't exactly on the same tier of talent as Alexander, it's worth noting that SEA's O-line has been doing a relatively poor job of run-blocking this season.

SEA is being overly-cautious with SA, as they should be. They invested a ton of money in this guy.

SA has the easiest playoff schedule, if he can be had real cheap, especially after this news, i'd still make a play on him if i were a playoff bound team.

Agreed that now is the time to trade for him. But you're not going to get the same production as last season. Not even close.

Funny thing is everyone is talking about LJ being the biggest 1st round bust: at least LJ is playing every week. Now I know SA is "hurt", but LJ has busted his ass every week and has not complained one bit. I'll take him any day.

I think you gotta wait for playoff time to make that assumption. If you are a team that could hold onto Alexander while he was hurt, I think he can be more valuable down the stretch.

I've thought about trading for him........but then I remembered he was one of the players I wanted to avoid before the season even started :D

My ass... He was a top 3 pick across the board, and you're saying he's somebody you wanted to "avoid"?

I'm not buying this statement Einstein.
