Menudo
My point? If we are judging a QB's greatness by 2 years of his playing history, that measure of greatness is going to be very deceiving & very distorted, and realtively speaking, completely useless. Ah, but, you are judging on 4 games this season in your last couple of posts..........
Bronco Billy
I will say, it is absolutly amazing how much action these Big Ben posts get. For a mediocre QB, he has had more posts written about him on this board than anyone, and it isn't even close. That may be one of the most perceptive posts that you have ever created, my young padawan.

bushwacked
its kind of pointless to use this year's stats so far as a judgement of how good or bad ben is. It's also pointless to compare a guy that played less than 3 seasons to a guy who won 3 superbowls (one as an MVP), went to 6 consecutive pro bowls, and played 10+ seasons. Doc Holliday
Which is a bye product of his team having a very strong run game and a very good defense. The reason I say this, is that he wasn't forced to pass all that much, and the majority of his passing was done because the wanted to change up their play calling, not because they were in 3rd and long or because they were behind. It is poor running games which result in 3rd and longs, and poor defenses that result in playing from behind that cause most QB's to problems, because they have to pass, and everyone knows that. QB rating is a BS stat, when trying to judge a QB. Vince Young had the best passer rating in all of the NCAA last year. Are you telling me he was a better passer than Matt Lienart, Jay Cutler, or the kid from ND? He wasn't. The fact was, Texas Defense was great, so they were rarely (I think only three times all season) were playing from behind, and they had a great running game that kept them out of 3rd and long situations. It is the same thing with Ben, Pitts running game and defense put him in a favorable position. Best post in this thread. Perch you indeed know your football. Squeegiebo
come on. cripes, you and menyoudo ACTUALLY believe this, don't you? anyone who think ben is a mediocre QB and bases that observation on pages and pages of stats and analysis...the real motivation must be because they hate manudo. Leading up to the Superbowl, a significant number of people said they were rooting against the Steelers for no reason other than Menudo. That doesn't have anything to do with Ben's stats, etc., but people around here certainly enjoy being on the opposite side of any issue Menudo posts about. P1Day1
No one disputes how bad Ben was in the Super Bowl. But take a look at his regular season stats and playoff stats taken as a whole compared to Dilfer and there's no comparison at all. Not disagreeing with your entire point, but, all stats can be misleading. OK, then you two fight it out and let us know who won. My God, what a troll post. You started the fight by bringing up the comparison yourself. If you want to group Ben, Trent and Troy into the generic "game manager" role I'm fine with that (and being a Dallas homer I have big gay man love for Troy just like you do for Ben, so if I'm OK with it you should be too).
