dmarc117
does your league take into account how a team is scored against...... for example, the cards-bears game.....2 scores were due to offensive fumbles and one was a special teams score. do these count against your def? cause the zona d only gave up 3 points.....that wouldve given a guy in our league the win if the other scores werent counted against the def. keggerz
in 32 homers it is what the DEF gives up
cre8tiff
Didn't count against ARI D/ST in our sportsline league.
BillyBalata
3 out of 4 leagues those scores do not count against the D. One of my leagues it does. I believe it shouldn't.
Standale Connection
Total score doesn't count against defenses in the league I play in, and I'm glad. - Yardage only counts against.
Bronco Billy
Yet another of a multitude of good arguments as to why you should use IDPs instead of team Ds.
Ursa Majoris
I know of leagues where the extra point after a defensive score counts against the D. I don't play in any where the D gets penalized when it's standing on the sidelines.
Gunther
Total points in both leagues I'm in. Have been wanting to bring this up in my local (changing it so only score against is counted if the actual D/ST is on the field), but I keep forgetting. Jackass
doesn't count in any of my leagues
piratesownninjas
My view on this is that as soon as Leinart fumbled and the bears recovered than Leinart and CO become the defensive players at that point.

Really? So would Urlacher get points as a RB or a QB in your system?
hezagenius
I know of leagues where the extra point after a defensive score counts against the D. I don't play in any where the D gets penalized when it's standing on the sidelines. That's what it is in mine. Arizona's D gave up 12 points in my league (1 FG, 1 TD (the punt return) and 3 XP). Pope Flick
In your example, why only 3? If the D/ST gets points for a kick or punt return for a TD they should be charged for allowing one to happen, unless you have a D squad and ST squad for kicks only. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. You're playing the teams Defense which includes the players that actually play defense. Seems kind of straightforward. But to each their own. If you're happy playing with those rules, fine by me.
