FishFreak
Interesting opinion on fanball posted today....... The concussion suffered by Ben Roethlisberger could be the first of many. As you probably know, a player's first concussion makes the second one more likely. And the second concussion makes the third one more likely. And so on. I'm sure you remember his head-first motorcycle accident—he might not, but you should be able to. Ask yourself, what are the odds he didn't suffer a concussion when his head blasted through that lady's windshield? I hate to overreact, but I'm worried that we've seen the first in a series of concussions, and a promising career could be cut tragically short. I was saying to myself earlier today, man it always seems like Big Ben is hurt with an assortment of injuries during his short career. I never even considered the concussions but man doesn't he seem injury prone or is it my imagination? Flip_Side
Didn't he also have something wrong with his throwing hand last year? That's why he always wore a glove.

CD6405
Did he run into a bus and land face first? Is that how he got this concussion too?

CD6405
Sorry, did he run into a CAR.
Skippy
I am worried about the same thing. Head injuries suck! I think he was still showing some effects of his head injury during the start of the season. Many of his decisions were not at all like his normal self. Anyway, I too am also worried about the long term.
DMD
I know he had great neurologists and knew what he was doing, but he did seem to come back awfully fast for having been through such a bad accident. I wonder if he would have been better off taking the year off or at least waiting longer before returning? My understanding is that you never want to have concussions close together or they are worse.
Whiskey Pimp
I was saying to myself earlier today, man it always seems like Big Ben is hurt with an assortment of injuries during his short career. I never even considered the concussions but man doesn't he seem injury prone or is it my imagination? He is always injured. Or at least whenever he's not playing great the announcers wonder if it's his head, thumb, appendicitis surgery, etc that is causing a bad game. CaptainHook
Where's Menudo been?
Menudo
Where's Menudo been? What are you talking about. I've been right here. I'm not going to run and hide. They could have gone 0-16 this year, and I'd still have the Colts win last year in my recent memory to cheer me up. Obviously, it's been a rough year. Other than losing, yesterday was an incredible football game to watch. I'm not giving up yet, but, a winning run better start soon, or they'll be home for the playoffs watching someone else upset the Colts. Menudo
....and by the way, Ben was playing phenomenally before the injury. 2nd game in a row where he had over 200 yards in the 1st half.
