I was high on him pre-season and I drafted him. I had to cut him when Dayne looked like he stole the job...big mistake. I just had to trade way over his value to re-take him this week (I am extremelly desperate at RB).

I think hes going to be a good #2 - #3 RB, especially in PPR. JMO

He had a nose for the end zone in college, but is not very fast!

Certainly a #3. #2 remains to be seen. At this point I'd rather have a Leon Washington or Jones-Drew over Lundy.

Not sure I totally agree....while last week may indeed end up being his best performance, I'd have to think twice before taking Washington or Jones-Drew in RBBC situations over Lundy, who appears to have the job to himself ( 19 productive carries last week in his audition for the full-time spot).

With Carr, Johnson and Moulds, they Texans have viable weapons that force teams to at least respect the pass. This should open up some lanes for Lundy, the same way it used to for Dom Davis.

I wouldn't want to count on him against the elite teams, but I also wouldn't hesitate for a moment to use him as #2 against marginal defenses.

I need to see more from Lundy first before putting him above the other 2. Washington and J-D have been CONSISTENTLY productive in their RBBC. While I agree with your analysis of the Houston O, they still only have had 1 good game running the football. I foresee more of a Rueben Droughns type of productivity out of Lundy, but I wouldn't mind being wrong either.

anyone planning on starting him this week?

Yep...in two leagues maybe. One for sure, with KJones on bye, it's either Lundy or Dom Rhodes.

In another league it's between Drew-Jones and Lundy. While Drew-Jones has been productive, he is limited in his touches, and if he doesn't score a TD, then he's not so valuable. Granted he has scored in his last 4 games, just worried how long that can last.

I drafted him in my local league but cut him several weeks ago when it appeared he was on the outs despite how horrible Dayne/Gado were ... Lindy was inactive several weeks running.

I re-acquired him from the WW Tuesday and intend to start him this week largely because Ronnie Brown is off and my options aren't pretty.

I have to choose between Addai, Rhodes, Mike Bell and Norwood. So Lundy against Tennesse is a welcome addition to my team this week. Now I only have to struggle with which IND RB to start. Likely after this week I will run mostly 1RB/4WR sets with Ronnie Brown ... unless one of my alternate backs steps up.

I don't know if those comments were directed at me, but I don't thnk either of those 2 things. Vick is a very solid #2QB and Lundy has the potential to be a solid #2 RB.

:D Actually, it's not directed at anyone in this thread, but this thread will NOW get more responses because of it! :D

Wait wait....Vick has 1 good game and he is total crap, Wali Lundy has 1 good game and he's a savior? :bash:

Vick is a known commodity. We know he is crap. Lundy hasn't had the opportunity to show how crappy he is yet. We should know more by seasons end :D

And you're welcome for the response :D

History has shown us that Vick can implode at any given moment into as dreadful a QB there is, and on many more than just one occasion. So I think that's whey there is still some pessimism as to whether Vick as the goods to be a solid QB each and every week.

That being said, there isn't a post on this thread that states Lundy is anything better than perhaps a #2 RB, and thats with a good match-up (like this week).

Looke like Addai's been getting more work and better results. Just my 2 cents, but I'd start the man from LSU.

Well, since I have bye week problems in week 8 (R. Brown AND Willis off) I can either start Robinson SF against Chicago or try and get Lundy as a atleast 1 week fill in.. Probably won't because he is on the front page on CBS where our league is set. You ALL know how GREAT those CBS Fantasy Gurus are..lol

Texans :: RB

Texans Name RB Lundy Starter In Week 8

HoustonTexans.com -

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has named running back Wali Lundy as the team's starter for Week 8. “Yeah, we worked them all today, but (RB) Wali (Lundy) has earned that right to go play. He’ll be the guy this week and hopefully for a long, long time. As far as (RB) Ronnie (Dayne) or (RB) Samkon (Gado) they’ll probably always be a week to week decision.”
