spain
Reynaldo Hill is the Titans 2nd cb and he is horrible. Their 3rd, 4th, and 5th cb's are even worse. Look for Carr and the Texan wideouts to have a big day. Sunday, 10/29/06 Pacman's game status undetermined Cornerback cited in alleged spitting By JIM WYATT Staff Writer A Metro Police detective on Saturday cited Titans cornerback Pacman Jones, charging him with misdemeanor assault, and the incident puts Jones' availability for today's game against the Texans in doubt. Jones is accused of spitting in the face of a female Tennessee State student after an argument at a nightclub Thursday morning. Detective Ricky Winfrey met Jones at an undisclosed location to issue the citation, police officials confirmed. Earlier in the day, Jones did not participate in the team's walk-through in preparation for today's game. Titans Coach Jeff Fisher informed Titans players he still was gathering information. Fisher could not be reached for comment Saturday. Depending on what Fisher finds out before kickoff, Jones could be suspended, but there were indications Saturday night that the plan was for Jones to play. The possibility remains Fisher could take disciplinary action against Jones starting with next Sunday's game at Jacksonville. Attorney Worrick Robinson said he talked with Jones on Saturday and said Jones is sorry for any distraction he might have caused. He said Jones maintains that he's innocent. "I had a long talk with Pac, and he regrets that he has been involved in an incident that is a distraction for the team,'' Robinson said. "The team is the most important thing for him and he apologizes to the organization, the coaching staff and his teammates for the distraction. "Pacman is aware that he may not dress for the game (today). But he is going to do whatever Coach Fisher asks him to do.'' Jones is accused of spitting in the face of Krystal Webb, 21, after a verbal exchange at Club Mystic on Second Avenue North. The incident occurred about 1 a.m. Thursday morning during a private party. Webb told police Jones tried to dance with one of her friends, and Webb pulled her away. Jones then cursed and yelled at her, walked away, and then returned and yelled again, at which time he allegedly spit in Webb's face, she said. Webb and other witnesses identified Jones as the person involved. Jones hasn't denied he was in the club that night, but said he left before the incident took place. On Saturday, Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron said Winfrey was told "remnants of the spit was saved" as evidence, something of which Worrick was also aware. "I was told that she saved some spit and put it in a baggie, but I haven't seen it,'' Robinson said. Webb declined Saturday to discuss the incident. "I have no comment. Thank you,'' she said. Jones has an appearance date set for Nov. 17. During that appearance, he'll be formally booked and is expected to have an initial meeting with the district attorney's office to see whether the case could be settled. Since the Titans drafted him in April 2005, Jones has been arrested twice and drawn the attention of Metro Police on at least three other occasions. In August, Jones was arrested at a Murfreesboro nightclub on charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. His court date in that case is scheduled for Jan. 11. • http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../610290389/1027
HowboutthemCowboys
good info Spain. how many times have we heard this: "I had a long talk with Pac, and he regrets that he has been involved in an incident that is a distraction for the team,'' Robinson said. "The team is the most important thing for him and he apologizes to the organization, the coaching staff and his teammates for the distraction." Jeff Fisher claims he has gone to a "Zero Tolerance" policy. That is why Robert Reynolds has been suspended from playing in this weeks game after being charged with a domestic violence case last week. If Fisher has any integrity whatsoever, he will have to sit Pacman for this game. If Pacman plays, as a Titan fan, I will be bitterly disappointed in my team. In my opinion, Fisher will do the right thing and suspend Pacman for this game...
spain
Chris Mortenson just said that Pacman will play today against the Texans. This is not a good thing for Titans team chemistry. I am shocked.

baddfish2
Of course Johnson will get the attention, so Spain, how do you see this affecting Moulds for today?
spain
Of course Johnson will get the attention, so Spain, how do you see this affecting Moulds for today? Well, it now looks like Pacman is starting. Pac will be assigned to Andre Johnson primarily. But Johnson is a big physical wr, the type of guy that gives Pacman fits. Hill will be assigned to Moulds, so I think Moulds should have a very productive day. Hill is not good and his starting job is in danger. The problem is that the Titans dont have any cbs who can cover.
Nabb
any chance tenn sees their own weekness and gives the seconday lots of support which could mean lundy all day long? Edited October 29, 2006 by Nabb
spain
any chance tenn sees their own weekness and gives the seconday lots of support which could mean lundy all day long? Titans run defense is nothing great either. With Haynesworth suspended, their big run stopper is gone. Robaire Smith is back which should help some. But Tennessee hasnt really stymied any rbs this year. Lundy could have a big day today. Edited October 29, 2006 by spain
